About The Project

Women represented in the media are too often given the main purpose of looking gorgeous and their life choices are often judged, too. To counterbalance this, I wanted to create a project that presents competent, confident and engaged women, doing what they love.

When we are in a flow state, we are so focused on the task at hand that we lose the ability to think about anything outside of  it. I’ve photographed women doing activities that lead to a flow-like state. The objective was to capture and celebrate a sense of who they are, while they are purely focused on doing things they enjoy.
